Iberia Express, the Spanish low-cost airline, has been one of the main sponsors of the Ídolo Awards, the annual event that honors influencers and content creators in Spain. To highlight its presence at the event and thank attendees for their support, Iberia Express carried out an innovative and eye-catching initiative: filling the theater where the awards were held with personalized airplane headrest covers.

The headrest covers, which are the protective covers placed on airplane seats for passenger comfort, were customized with the Iberia Express logo and a fresh, fun design. Additionally, each headrest featured the name of one of the nominated influencers and content creators, giving them a sense of exclusivity and personalization.

Iberia Express’s initiative was a complete success, not only because of the great visibility it achieved at the event but also due to the positive impact it generated among attendees. The personalized headrest covers were very well received and created an atmosphere of comfort and distinction in the theater. The airline managed to deliver a unique experience for attendees while reinforcing its brand image and presence in the Spanish market.

In addition to the innovative and eye-catching action of filling the theater with personalized airplane headrest covers, Iberia Express created a commercial spot to be aired during the awards gala. The spot highlighted the main advantages and benefits of flying with the airline, as well as some of its key destinations.

Execution:

• Designed a fresh, modern template for the headrest covers incorporating the Iberia Express logo to align with both the brand and the energy of the event.

• Created a unique version for each nominee, applying their names using custom typography and ensuring consistency across all seating.

• Coordinated the layout to ensure visual harmony when viewed from afar, turning the theater into a giant branded installation.

• Iberia Express also released a branded video spot, shown during the gala, promoting the airline’s destinations and customer benefits. I collaborated with the team to ensure visual coherence between the printed materials and the audiovisual piece.
