Adidas Player

2019

Client: student project

Role: ANIMATION, Graphic Design & visual curation

About the project:

When you watch a music video, you don’t just see the visuals—you feel the aesthetic. And often, that aesthetic is shaped by branding. Adidas wanted to tap into this cultural moment by highlighting its organic presence in the music industry, specifically through artists who already wear the brand in their video clips.

How do you connect music lovers to the Adidas brand in a way that feels authentic, not promotional? And how can that connection be visual, immersive, and shoppable?
We created a curated playlist of music videos where Adidas appears naturally, through the style choices of the artists themselves. The playlist is more than just a selection of tracks; it’s a visual narrative of brand presence across pop culture.

In addition to the playlist, we designed a seamless bridge between content and commerce: each featured look worn by the artists is linked to Adidas products available for purchase, allowing fans to directly shop the style they see on screen.

Execution:

• Conducted deep visual research to identify music videos featuring Adidas organically

• Designed the playlist brand identity, including cover art, visual hierarchy, and layout for use on streaming platforms and social media

• Created interactive mockups showcasing how viewers could tap a look and be redirected to the product page

• Developed style guides and templates for consistent promotional graphics, merging streetwear attitude with music video aesthetics
The playlist concept turned passive brand visibility into active engagement, merging music, culture, and commerce in one unified experience. It strengthened Adidas’s reputation as a brand that doesn’t just dress artists—but becomes part of their creative world.
